Body Acne: Best Acne Treatments

By: Kismet Johnson

When most people think about teen acne solutions, they attempt to treat the most common form of acne—facial acne. Rarely do people realize that the topic of teen acne solutions can be expounded to include the area of body acne. The general population is under several misconceptions of what causes breakouts. Some believe it is due to eating too much chocolate or other unhealthy foods. The truth is there are many different reasons why people encounter this unpleasant skin condition. Some of the best acne treatments known are explained below.

One form of acne prevention is to avoid excessive rubbing of the skin. When the skin becomes irritated, breakouts are more likely to occur. Next, another way to control acne is to shower as soon as possible after engaging in sweat-producing physical activity. This is actually one of the best acne treatments. Oil, dirt and perspiration settle on the skin after physical activity. If the skin is not cleansed properly, these residues will settle in the pores and cause pimples to form.

Another one of the best acne treatments is simply to wash your hair regularly. This can be more effective than most acne medications on the market. Doing so prevents oily hair products from dripping onto the body and, thus, causing breakouts. This, along with scrubbing the skin in the shower comprises two of the best acne treatments which have stood the test of time.

Contrary to popular belief, using facial products on the body to control acne is not one of the best acne treatments. Most of these products are not strong enough to control acne. Thus, out of all of the acne treatments, the best acne treatments are to wash both your hair and body regularly.
